At this point we have all established that trends come and go. Each trend that pops up on the runway every season has already been done in the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc. That means we never really bid goodbye to trends, they just recycle and come back big and better. With the weather set to change very soon, time to think about the trends we want to try or what will work for us. Feel like royalty in the Victorian neckline trend, show your sexy self in wearing an underwear as an outerwear or combat a bad hair day with a statement padded headband, the choice is yours to make.
* Padded Headbands *
Say no to bad hair days or spice up good hair days with the ever trending padded headbands. This particular trend takes me back to my childhood days. I remember padded headbands being one of the most chosen accessories when dressing up for church every Sunday. It was very important to my dad that my brother and I were well put together. -And this really played a big part in it because my mother wasn’t around most of my childhood which meant hair making was a struggle for my dad. Dressed up or down this accessory will suit anything and everybody. Keep it simple with plain choice or opt for studded ones like mine above. Shop for different kinds of headbands here on Etsy.
* Soft Ruched Clutches *
Honestly I don’t remember the last time I carried a clutch, but it’s about to change real quick. Not that I don’t have any, it’s the limited space that bothers me sometimes. As a blogger I love to carry my camera with me to anywhere I’ve to dress up for. With the soft ruched clutches, the space is doable. Coming in different colours/sizes and with how soft the faux leather is, this is suitable for any event and all seasons. Bottega Veneta did a great bringing this to existence.
* Colourful Sunnies *
Nothing like a good fitted glasses any day, but especially special during the sunny days. I mean nothing screams summer like a pair of colourful shades. From retropeepers to classic aviators, check out for mirror lenses and oversized shapes. Brands like asos, topshop and fashioneyewear have great collections. I came across a brand called Mister Spex and from the look of their online store there’re so many high quality frames to choose from. Finding the right pair of glasses can be daunting, given the vast choices available. In case you need help in that area, do check an old post on how to choose glasses to suit your face shape here. This is a trend that keeps coming every season and it will be a shame not to throw the sun some shade. Lol!
* Bucket Hats *
This trend might not be for everyone which is understandable, but this is one of the most perfect holiday accessory. Having said that, there’s no harm in trying something new this season. Just like sunglasses, a good bucket hat is your friendly answer to giving the sun some shade. They come in different colours to compliment any outfit you curate. From shopping to festivals to sunbathing, this is a cool way to inject some street funk into your style. Shop cool bucket hats.
Other trends to look out for are the Victorian Neckline tops, wearing underwear as outerwear and statement big chain necklaces.
What trends are you looking forward to trying this season?
Thanks much for your visits and meaningful comments. Have a lovely Sunday ahead.
