Howdy Beauties!? Did you miss me? How’s your summer going?
I took a little break to get things done and one of them is us visiting London for eight hours. I’m not really keen on London, – definitely a city that ignites excitement and makes me anxious at the same time.Β I pride myself as a city girl, but this is too much city for me. Lol!! The main mission for the visitation was to renew my son’s passport at the Austrian embassy. After everything was said and done, we were all about the tourist life.
*What We Got Up To*
Our first stop was Buckingham palace. This was a place on Dillon’s wishlist so we had to make it happen. We strolled from the Austrian embassy which is in Belgravia area (nice surroundings with neat architectures) to the queen’s busy abode. It’s my second time there and the place is always crowed with people. There’s nothing much to do there aside taking in the scenery.
The second stop was the famous London bridge so we took the underground train to the place, but it was such a disappointment (liked the tower bridge instead). Lol!! We had high expectations. Out of disappointment, we took a boat trip (a must when you visit) to London Eye to explore the area. The place was overcrowded which was giving me too much anxiety so we left to check out Borough market to grab some street food. This is a must if you ever visit. So many dishes from around the world to try. We really enjoyed exploring this place.
I kept it casual and comfortable here. I wasn’t sure of the weather so I added my go-to long blazer just in case. Perfect for playing tourist. More photos to come in my next post.
Thanks much for your visits and meaningful comments.
As always, I would love to connect with everyone onΒ INSTAGRAMΒ andΒ TWITTER.
Much Love!

Lol… I know exactly how you feel when you say that London is too much city for you. Same way I feel about Toronto – the busy traffic, noise factor, hustle and bustle everywhere. It can get pretty draining really quick! Aside from that, your outfit looks fabulous! I am liking the plaid shirt and choice of white shoes. – http://www.jamilakyari.com

Lol!! I couldn’t agree more with you about it being draining.

I know what you mean about “too much city.” I used to love the city when I was in highschool and college. In fact I did my undergrad in NYC and my grad degree in Philadelphia, but these days even though there are so many great cultural places to go and things to see, I’m like “Ugh” at the thought of going into the city, ha.

London is always fun. Need to plan another trip. Buckingham Palace should definitely be on the list. Did you and Dillon catch a glimpse of the changing of the guards. I saw how busy it was on your Insta post. On the next visit will definitely check out Borough market .

You’re such a sweet mama to take Dillon to Buckingham Palace so he could check it off his list. π I’m with you, my beautiful Mavis, London is not one of my favorite cites. It’s a nice city, but I prefer towns outside of London like Bath, Stratford-Upon-Avon, and Salisbury. Very quaint and beautiful. Love your pics!

All central London is much too busy for me too. I just tend to stick to my little bit where it’s not as busy. London Bridge is all concrete but Borough Market as you said is fantastic. Behind the London Bridge station there is also a place called Vinegar Yard that has vintage market which is nice. Bermondsey Street near London Bridge is great too, but the bridge itself is just underwhelming! xo

Oh good to hear that I’m not the only one. Thanks muchas for sharing these places with me. Will check em out on my next visit. π
