Welcome to another post edition, but I must say coming up with a title for this post was a struggle. The many times I edited the title is uncountable. Like, “Nah, this doesn’t sound catchy enough”, “Nope it’s too short!”, “It won’t do well in the search engines”, “Just too boring!”e.t.c. Please don’t tell me I’m the only one in this boat. Ha!!
Unto today’s #ootd, -Two of favourite things to style for winter and Spring are a good pants (jeans or jeggings) and sweater. These two make a great classic look that one can wear to anywhere. There is no right or wrong way to this style. Paired with a statement coat during the winter season and you’ll be looking like a boss. Ha! This look can be paired with any shoes of your choice too. I don’t have a coat on here because the weather was actually okay on this day.
Now lets talk about a dilemma that I’m facing down low.
One of my goals last year was learn to take photos in public places, but it didn’t come to pass. Guys, I’m still uncomfortable and shy when taking photos in public. I’m getting bored of finding quiet places. I love these shots (my son did a great job), but I feel like it would have looked even better in a nice cafe or bar setting. I’ve a big respect for bloggers who take shots in cafes, restaurants and public places. Zero confidence over here. Any tips? Do I need to get high or something for these kind of shots? Lol!! Ya girl needs HELP please!

I’m the same with titles! So hard to come up with a good one. And it took time for me to get comfortable, but I also know I would stop worrying about how my photos would look if I just go for it. I also try to time it when there are less people!

Honestly, I struggle quite a lot with taking photos in public places and most of the places I take photos in are quite public. I get through it by trying not to think about it, but mostly just doing it despite my discomfort and shyness.

I spied a nice place ( a cafe) to take photos at recently….but I plan to go there when there is no crowd, maybe early in the morning? That’s my tip anyway. Try to take photos when there aren’t that many people around, that might make you feel more comfortable. I don’t feel super confident taking photos in public either. It is easier now that we just use a phone, when we had a professional camera (that broke down a year or two ago) people would always stare. So, shooting with a mobile phone can also reduce the attention we’re getting- in my experience.

Your distressed mustard knit is so cool! I find it difficult taking photos in public too – I’ll avoid my neighbours when I’m snapping away with my tripod! I think it’s a little easier in public if someone else is taking photos, but it’s still not my favourite thing! I have no good tips sorry!

Your awesome personality always jumps out of the page at me! I felt that way in the beginning and now if people stare, I just tell them, “it’s for my shoe blog!” They understand and some of them even want to get in the picture. Haha! Perhaps, to build your confidence, start going to public places earlier in the morning when less people are out.
