The sweater dress saga continues. I hope you’re not tired yet, because this will probably be my uniform for this winter. Ha! Over the weekend I had the pleasure of attending a baby christening of two good friends. For my outfit, I opted for this classic striped sweater dress that screams sophisticated. The bold two-toned stripes make such a statement. It was very cold, but I didn’t want to wear a coat so I paired it with a tailored black blazer (old, from Primark) instead. This is an effortlessly chic winter style outfit that anybody can achieve. This dress is another number from Fashion Nova (unfortunately soldout). The bag and heels are both old from Forever 21.
Any excuse to dress up and I’m up for it! Life as a working single mother can be boring sometimes. It’s a routine of work, home and chores. Now and then I love to step out to clear my head and let my hair down. It does good for the soul. So the holiday season is in full gear, but to be honest, Christmas doesn’t feel special to me any more. As the year progresses I get less and less interested. I only show interest because of my son. I’m just grateful for life. God is good!
Special thanks and credit to my son for taking these shots of me. Gosh, he was so excited and proud that these photos came out great. I might just have found my new photographer in him. I want to wish all my Americans Happy Thanksgiving! In the name of that, I am very much grateful for the blogging world. It has enabled me to meet like-minded individuals, make friends and educated me in so many aspects. Thank you all for the visits, feedbacks and support.
