Tick tock tick tock! That is the clock reminding us that sweaters season is here. It is time to bid goodbye to the slinky summer pieces and start bringing the Fall pieces to the forefront of our closets. Browsing through numerous stores online, I couldn’t help but scream oohhh….aahhh….at the latest and widest range of collection of cardigans and sweaters out there. Whether you are after something stylish or comfortable, there will be something for you and to suit any occasion.
What do you look for when buying knitwears?
Personally, listed below are my check list;
- The Feel: Nothing irritating than wearing a sweater that itches. I can’t stand it so it is of the utmost importance that I feel or try it on. Does it feel soft, stiff, ruff, smooth or rough? Whether I’m going for something light or something with a bit of weight to it, quality has to be key. -Because sweaters are pieces that I tend to wear for years and years without getting tired of them. One tip I also learnt long time ago is that, stretch the knit and if it bounces back, BINGO! Going back on quality, seam and stitches have to be right too.
- Don’t break my Bank: It wouldn’t be me if I didn’t touch on the price. There’re some people out there who live for labels, but not moi. Quality doesn’t equal price. Brands like Zara, Asos and NA-KD stock some chic and stylish knitwears for quarter the prices that these so-called big designers put out.
- Style: Yes I’m trying to keep my behind warm, but that doesn’t mean pieces lacking excitement. Sometimes I step out of my comfort zone and invest in sweaters with statement features like the chic high neck cut-out shoulder sweater above. Whether dressed up or down, black or colourful, I want to look like I made an effort. Ha!!
Hope this shopping guide helps or guides you to find nice Autumn knitwears. Have you heard of Na-KD before? It seems to be an Instagram favourite in the influencer world.
Have a blessed week Beauties!
