The fashion world is swamped with so much that it is incredibly overwhelming, but at the same time, inspiring. It has a way of making you wanting more and questioning your style in a way. Like it was stated in my last post, there’s no harm in switching it up now and then. -But I also believe that if you’ve a style that you’re comfortable with, work with that and incorporate a bit of trend here and there. It can be in the form of accessories.
It was a delight to read your contributions on my last post. -And good to hear that most of you could relate and agree with ‘investing, not collecting.’ Thank you! The one staple I find myself investing in a lot are pencil skirts. Aside getting several compliments from people, I think I look good in them (if I may say so myself). I believe that pencil skirts are classic and timeless pieces that will still be in style decades to come.
This animal print skirt is an oldie from Boohoo that has been sitting in my closet and thought I style it again. I wore this outfit to church. The skirt screams of sophistication and luxe because of the animal print with the velvet fabric feel. Keeping it classy, I paired it with this black shirt that has got a bit of edge to it with its little details. -Studs on the cuffs and faux leather collar running down the button area. When it comes to styling an animal print, don’t be afraid to experiment with other prints. Don’t let the loudness of the print scare you into styling it with just neutrals.
Wishing you a blessed June.
