COMFORTABLE CAN ALSO BE STYLISH AND CHIC…

stylish and chic outfits The season of showing some legs is here. It has literally felt like summer in the UK for the past few days. There’s no better feeling than basking in the glow of the sun. Thanks to the most High God for blessing us. After months of keeping the body wrapped up in layers of clothings because of the hash cold, it is time to let it breathe. The joy of walking in town and seeing people looking effortlessly stylish and free is wonderful. Wish I had the courage to take my camera out there to take some streetstyles.

Not a day goes by without me dressing and not thinking about comfort first. Gone are the days when the word comfort in style was linked to frumpy. I remember my cousin gave me the nickname, ‘grandma’ because I loved comfort over style (as she put it). She was the trendy and confident type and I on the other hand, timid tomboy type. She was always forcing me to wear mini skirts and figure-hugging ensemble, but that wasn’t me. Everything I wore was either baggy or dragging on the floor. Lol! Anywhos fast forward to today and you can see that the girl has grown. Comfort is still key, but it has been zhuzh’ed up. Whether it is dragging on the floor or it is baggy, I try to be a bit chic, stylish or well put-together by acecesorizing, adding a heels or a classic tailored blazer. Having said that, don’t underestimate sneakers or flats at all, these can also be stylish. It is about how you reinvent it.

Showing today is actually the outfit I wore on Valentine’s day on my holiday in Edinburgh. Don’t judge me (Lol!)! I just uplaoded the photos/videos from my camera somewhere around last week so I’m getting to it. These ensemble were shopped from my closet. The comfort of oversized jumpers is like no other. I played with proportion by pairing it with this equally easy skater skirt which of course is red following the colour theme of Valentine’s day.

Do you think of comfort when dressing up? What works for you?

I love the comfortable loose look! It’s very rare for me to disregard comfort entirely, but I often balance out comfortable pieces with something a bit less comfortable if I can’t resist how pretty it is.

Yay! Am I first? Honestly comfort is the name of the game these days. I travelled in leggings and converses a few weeks ago and I was like “wow. Look at me being sensible!”. But yes, you are right. You can still be stylish even when comfortable . Im liking your laidback chic in the photos!

This is certainly looking like a very comfortable outfit but you have made it look pretty chic! Well done!
Indeed whilst the people of UK are enjoying the hotter sun, we are dying here in Asia with daily temperatures of 35- 36 degrees… I wish I could walk around in my swimwear… seriously!
    Enjoy!

Looking so dreamy and divine in this stylishly stunning outfit! I love how you always combine the cutest casual looks that are fierce and flawless simultaneously. The pop of red you rock so well and I love the oversized jumper, it works so gorgeously with your skirt! A match-made in heaven 🙂 I usually think of comfort when dressing up, I’m all about the summertime vibes but with a stylish, casual edge <3

I agree with your title, but I think I’d go one step further and say: only comfortable things are stylish and chic. Coco Chanel did not wear pants just because they were stylish, she wore them because they were comfy. Everywhere I go I see girls that are… dressed up and don’t feel good in clothes they’re wearing. This takes away charm. You look great in the pictures btw.

It would be nice if time could slow down a little so we could enjoy this Spring weather longer!
I too feel that comfort is important. That outfit was a great choice for Valentine’s Day in Edinburgh, and you look pretty wearing it in the photo above. Your red skirt and black trimmed V-neck jumper do look very pretty stylish together in addition to looking comfortable to wear.

Grandma! Oh Lord. Yes you are right though, style and looking chic can also meant comfort, especially with street style trend still so strong. Love this over-sized V neck sweater, you look great! And yep show those gams!
