Like many human beings or females, I too have had my share of set-backs, heartbreaks, failures, etc. etc. And like many people, sometimes after a breakdown, I give up or start asking God “why oh why (with a crying face..)”. Lets not forget often at times the things we do that brings us pain are or were not instructed by God, but when the wahala (means trouble/problem in Nigerian pidgin English) comes, we bombard God with our ‘why oh why’ matters!! If God were to be a human being, you know some of us would have wallowed in our misery for life, right? Cos truth be told some people would rather have you fail and pinned to the ground all the time than see you flourish.
To avoid all the hurts and pains, why don’t we exercise patience and wait upon the Lord? I don’t know about you, but hell I ain’t got all the answers and reasons as to why certain things happen to us. We might think we know, but we DON’T! – Even science hasn’t got all the answers like people claim!
I’m learning to wait upon the Lord, so if someone out there is going through problems..I urge you also to wait upon Him. It doesn’t even have to be problems, its life in general. When you’ve tried, tried and tried, but still encounter failure, that’s when you know something somewhere is wrong. Remember though we walk in flesh, we’re not waging war according to the flesh. Lets pray, stay positive, try to do the right thing and hope in the Creator for the best!
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They’ll soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we’re wasting away, yet inwardly we’re being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen in eternal.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kind, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
